What is WSWHE BOCES?

The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) Board of Cooperative serves 31 school districts in a five-county region. The BOCES Board of Education, a governing board made up of representatives from component school districts, is responsible for the oversight of curricular, financial and other policy decisions. The chief executive officer of a BOCES is the District Superintendent who works closely with local school districts as a liaison/agent of the New York State Commissioner of Education.

Congratulations to the Retiree Class of 2024

Eighteen staff were honored in a retiree recognition ceremony on May 8 at the Ballard Road Conference Center. Collectively, the staff members served 350 years to WSWHE BOCES.

District-wide School Safety Plan

New York State School Districts and BOCES are required to develop a district-wide school safety plan designed to prevent or minimize the effects of serious violent incidents and emergencies and to facilitate the coordination of the district with local and county resources in the event of such incidents or emergencies.
