The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex Board of Cooperative Educational Services (WSWHE BOCES) serves 31 school districts in a five-county region. The BOCES Board of Education, a governing board made up of representatives from component school districts, is responsible for the oversight of curricular, financial and other policy decisions. The chief executive officer of a BOCES is the District Superintendent who works closely with local school districts as a liaison/agent of the New York State Commissioner of Education.

The skills gap continues to make headlines across the country—and WSWHE BOCES is meeting the moment. On June 18, 2025, 274 high school seniors from the F. Donald Myers Education Center crossed the stage at the Saratoga City Center, joining a growing network of skilled graduates who are ready to power our workforce and communities.
New York State School Districts and BOCES are required to develop a district-wide school safety plan designed to prevent or minimize the effects of serious violent incidents and emergencies and to facilitate the coordination of the district with local and county resources in the event of such incidents or emergencies.
