What is WSWHE BOCES?
The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex Board of Cooperative Educational Services (WSWHE BOCES) serves 31 school districts in a five-county region. The BOCES Board of Education, a governing board made up of representatives from component school districts, is responsible for the oversight of curricular, financial and other policy decisions. The chief executive officer of a BOCES is the District Superintendent who works closely with local school districts as a liaison/agent of the New York State Commissioner of Education.

Empowering Young Women with Career Discovery
Women have to see it to be it. The WSWHE BOCES Women In Trades Initiative is focused on narrowing the skills gap and encouraging young women to enter the trades, in particular traditionally male dominated fields such as automotive technology, auto body repair, construction trades, environmental conservation & forestry, heavy equipment operation, HVAC-R, industrial and performance machining, power sports technology and welding.
Cooking Up Kindness: CTE Students Lead ‘Operation Turkey’ to Help Local Families This Holiday Season
Career and Technical Education (CTE) students expressed their thanks this holiday season by helping their community. On November 26 culinary arts students from the F. Donald Myers Education Center and the Saratoga Wilton Kiwanis Club assembled 135 holiday food baskets for local families in need in what they call “Operation Turkey.”
Thanksgiving Celebration with Exceptional Learners and Saratoga Central Catholic
Exceptional Learners (ELD) from the WSWHE BOCES were invited to the annual Saratoga Central Catholic School (SCC) Thanksgiving lunch on November 22, 2024.
Culinary Students Help & Support Hometown Thanksgiving’s 40th Year
As part of an annual tradition, students from the Culinary Arts and Hospitality program as well as the Hospitality and Human Services program at the Southern Adirondack Education Center in Hudson Falls have been working hard preparing for Hometown Thanksgiving.

District-wide School Safety Plan
New York State School Districts and BOCES are required to develop a district-wide school safety plan designed to prevent or minimize the effects of serious violent incidents and emergencies and to facilitate the coordination of the district with local and county resources in the event of such incidents or emergencies.
