New Visions Programs

New Visions programs are academically rigorous courses for college-bound high school seniors who plan to major in the following disciplines:  Engineering, Health/Medicine, and Theatre Arts. New Visions programs provide students with a competitive edge when applying for college admissions because their advanced studies include work experience alongside industry professionals in a variety of disciplines.

Engineering
New Visions Engineering Video

New Visions Engineering is a one-year program that  combines calculus and physics with instruction in engineering principles. Progressing through rotations, students observe and participate in practical field work. Lab experiments are conducted at Adirondack Community College; rotations occur at engineering sites. Health Careers Exploration
New Visions Health Careers Exploration Video

New Visions Health Careers Exploration is a one-year program in which students learn and work in a hospital setting alongside physicians, physician assistants, and physical therapists. Students receive classroom instruction two days per week and attend clinical rotations in a variety of health professions three days per week. New Visions Health Careers Explorations is located in Wesley Health Care Center and Glens Falls Hospital. Rotations occur at both these facilities and at private practices and clinics throughout the Saratoga and Glens Falls areas.

Theatre Arts
New Visions Theatre Arts Video
New Visions Theatre Arts is a one-year program that integrates the core courses thematically through the discipline of theatre, both classical and contemporary forms. High school seniors gain experience and knowledge in the performance, design, and technical areas of theatre while working with professional directors, designers, actors, technicians, and producers. New Visions Theatre Arts is located in the Black Box Studio at the F. Donald Myers Education Center.
