Work-Based Learning
CTE students in
every program have the opportunity to participate
in internships that enhance their education.
Internships help students put classroom theory to
use in real-life situations. They also give
students work experience and the chance to meet
and network with people in their chosen field.
Internships are customized for every student. The
CTE Instructors and Work-Based Learning
Coordinators cultivate relationships with mentors
and employers who are experienced and
knowledgeable in their fields. They then match
each CTE student with a mentor who will supplement
what is being taught in the classroom and devise a
set of goals to be accomplished during the
timeframe.
