Please be advised that under Part 80-3.5 of NYS Commissioner’s Regulations, Career and Technical Education teachers hired by a school district who do not hold a valid NYS teaching certificate must fulfill NYS certification requirements to become a certified teacher.  It is BOCES policy that certification requirements be completed within 40 work days from date of appointment.  Be advised that additional fees for certification apply and are solely the responsibility of the staff member.
