SLS Coordinated Cooperative Collection Development(CCCD)

• Definition:
  Coordinated cooperative collection development, as defined by the ALA's A Guide to Coordinated and Cooperative Collection Development Among Libraries, is "Cooperation, coordination or sharing in the development and management of collections by two or more libraries making an agreement for this purpose." 

• Goal:
  In the WSWHE SLS, Coordinated Cooperative Collection Development is for the purpose of strengthening the overall breadth and depth of collection resources available for resource sharing between member school district libraries throughout the system, while saving costs for member libraries.

• CCCD Plan:
  The Coordinated Cooperative Collection Development Plan approved by the School Library System Council.
