WSWHE BOCES Board of Education Vice President

David A. Petruska – resident of Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD.  Happily married to Florence for 34 years with 3 grown children.  Gregory and Jonathan graduated Waterford.  Gregory resides in NYC, while Jon is raising his family in Waterford.  Daughter Sabrina educated in Waterford Elementary and graduated CCHS.  Sabrina is now finishing her Masters in Elementary Special Education and is substitute teaching in the area.  I am employed by Albany Research Institute, Inc. in Albany as a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant.  Albany Research Institute, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed to support and engage in medical, pharmacological, allied health and related administrative research and educational activities of interest and benefit to the general public and to veterans, their families and their communities.  I served as member of Waterford-Halfmoon’s Board of Education for 21 years from 1980 to 2001.  I have concurrently served as a BOCES board member since 1983, first on the Saratoga-Warren BOCES and then on the merged WSWHE BOCES.  I enjoy the opportunity of turning ideas into educational programs for ALL of the students in the BOCES area and seeing these students excel in their endeavors.
