This service is designed to provide useful information about the requirements for a New York State teaching certificate. Application materials, procedures, evaluations, and informational memoranda are also available.

The regional certification officer works directly with a certification specialist in the NYS Education Department Office of Teaching. They can assist applicants by responding to questions and processing applications and supporting materials. Applications and materials evaluated by BOCES regional certification office staff will be given priority status in the Office of Teaching.
