Special Education Training Resource Center

SETRC is federally-funded, statewide performance based network of professional development specialists who assist school districts in the development, implementation and evaluation of research validated principles which results in improved student performance. There are over 40 SETRC locations throughout New York State and most are based within BOCES systems that serve several school districts and counties.

The SETRC network supports the New York State Education Department's Office of Vocational and Educational Services to Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) mission by ensuring the development of local capacity to provide students with disabilities for lifelong success through quality professional development.

SETRC actively and collaboratively participates in program reviews with the State Education Quality Assurance Regional Associate and with other Regional Network Partners.

Who is eligible to use SETRC services?

SETRC resources are available to any person who works with a child or group of children identified as having a disability, or suspected of having a disability, including parents, school district staff and community members.
