Early College Career Academy (ECCA) Information Sessions will take place on January 15, 2025 at 6pm at both SUNY Adirondack campuses.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) program open houses will take place at the Southern Adirondack Education Center in Hudson Falls on January 14, 2025 at the F. Donald Myers Education Center in Saratoga Springs on January 15, 2025. Both events will be held from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Visitors will learn how the programs help students prepare for careers and college through hands-on learning, internships, and partnerships with business and industry.
During the CTE Open Houses, business and industry representatives will also be available to discuss the career opportunities that exist in their field.
These events are free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged.

CTE is a division of the WSWHE BOCES. It provides an array of classes for 11th and 12th grade students as well as adults. CTE classes include Auto Body Repair, Automotive Technology, Construction Trades, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice Studies, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Medical Technician, Environmental Conservation and Forestry, Graphic and Visual Communications, Health Occupations, HVAC-R, Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Operation, Horse Care, Horticulture, Interactive Media & Game Design, Landscaping and Floral Design, Industrial and Performance Machining, Power Sport Technology, and Welding.
ECCA is a partnership between SUNY Adirondack and the WSWHE BOCES. Students are eligible to earn up to 32 college credits in high school. Students can begin to earn credit through the Early College Career Academy in the fall of their high school junior year toward a degree in one of these four categories: Advanced Manufacturing, Business and Entrepreneurship, IT Networking, New Media or Pathways to Teaching. Students who participate in the program are dual-enrolled; they will be a high-school student and a college student at the same time. These programs are offered at no cost to students or their families.
