ECCA Advanced Manufacturing senior students, Maria Figueiredo, Gannon Kenny, Grace Valla and Matthew Wildermuth are working on a project special to their hearts - a prosthetic for a dog named Misty.

On March 19 and March 25, more than 190 students on 24 teams from 9 local school districts competed in the 2021 “Battle of the Books.”

March is International Women's Month and we are celebrating Women in the Trades. Throughout the month, WSWHE BOCES, CTE and ETA will be highlighting current and past students, instructors and colleagues in the Trades.

During the month of February, CTE students from both the F. Donald Myers Education Center in Saratoga Springs and the Southern Adirondack Education Center in Hudson Falls showed off their proficiencies during SkillsUSA competitions including culinary, cosmetology and automotive technology.

In a letter dated March 18, 2021, thirty one Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) Chief School Officers urged Dr. Howard Zucker, Commissioner, New York Department of Health, to revise the New York State Department of Health’s position on requirements for in-person learning in relation to COVID-19.

One hundred twelve students, school superintendents, board of education members, legislators, WSWHE BOCES staff, educators and key stakeholders came together for the 6th Annual WSWHE Chief School Officers Legislative Breakfast. The meeting was held virtually.
