The office of the Chief Financial Officer coordinates, supervises and provides leadership on financial planning and budgeting, including:
- Consulting with component school district administrators on variety of management, fiscal and operational problems or concerns (i.e. budgets, accounting, capital projects, and state aid)
- Administering and preparing legal contracts and lease agreements
- Acting as liaison with State Education Department for Cooperative Service (CO-SER) applications, financial reporting and regulatory issues
This division performs management functions essential to the operation of the BOCES and provides services (listed to the left) to increase the effectiveness and operational cost efficiency of local school districts. Additional services can be arranged through cross contacts with other BOCES (e.g., policy updates, energy management, out-of-region transportation).
