Responsibilities:

Assist in the handling of routine and emergency situations in the absence of the Transportation Safety & Training Manager.
After receiving appropriate training, observe drivers in compliance with reasonable suspicion laws. The "Lead Bus Driver" would allow for reasonable suspicion contact to be made at all locations prior to departure. This would equate to any situations that arise as a mandatory reporter (including but not limited to observing a driver under suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs or violation of policy). This does not pertain to ordinary workplace evaluator responsibilities.
Assist in scheduling of bus routes in consultation with the Transportation Safety & Training Manager.
Assist with paperwork (or electronic) including 19A files & DVIR files.
Assist in maintaining the service schedules for the buses.
Assist in ensuring the cleanliness of the Bus Fleet.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning and other bus supplies.
Occasionally, the Lead Bus Driver may be required to prepare written and/or oral reports related to the work (not regarding personnel) and as requested by the Transportation Safety & Training Manager.
